Vasa Praevia often shows no symptoms. It is usually only detected once the mother is in labour, and then it’s too late: the baby has only a 5 ~10% of survival. But vasa praevia can be detected during pregnancy, with a harmless ultrasound. When detected, the infant survival rate is usually 100%.
